Our intention in offering these services and products is:
Naturopathic Consultations: This consultation gives you the opportunity to discuss all of your health concerns whether it be disease prevention and health promotion, to address a range of symptoms that they have been unable to manage on your own, or you have been diagnosed with an illness and are looking for natural remedies.
Digital Products: This includes guides and e-books to offer educational information on reproductive health; this is not a substitute for medical advice.
Qualifications and Responsibility
Our practitioner Teena Dunn, holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), a Bachelor of Science with honours (Geology) and is also a certified energy healer. She has experience compounding and manufacturing herbal medicine products.
As a full member of the Naturopaths and Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA, Member number 159879), she continually updates her professional development and education each year, ensuring her skills remain current with the latest developments.
We commit to best practice and due diligence by the way we structure the initial and return naturopathic consultations. After the initial appointment, we take time to research your individual case and create a personalised health care plan that is then presented to you at your first return appointment that you need to book separately.
Your Responsibility
It is your responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions periodically for any changes.
It is your responsibility to ensure you pay in full when booking online, your appointment is not valid until payment has been accepted. It is your responsibility to complete and return the initial intake forms and health agreement at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. When an intake form is not completed at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, the consultation will be cancelled. With consideration and respect to our practitioners, the full consultation fees will be charged if the appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the original start time of the consultation.
It is also all your responsibility to provide blood test results (from the last 6 months or as requested), and send clear photos of your skin, eyes, tongue and nails in natural light at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, these can be emailed to hello@thenaturapath.com.au in a medium sized attachment or larger. If the test results and physical examination photos are not received, then advice cannot be given when an individual health plan is created.
It is your responsibility to disclose all pharmaceutical medications that you have been prescribed during a 1:1 consultation. Pharmaceutical medication can interact with some herbs and nutrients and can have serious impacts on your health.
It is your responsibility to inform us of any adverse reactions that may occur as a result of consuming herbs or nutrients supplied by me. Please seek medical attention immediately and then update us of the incident when it is safe to do so.
It is also your responsibility to inform us if you are pregnant or trying to conceive. Not all herbs and supplements are safe during pregnancy. For your own safety, it is best to disclose if you are pregnant or trying to conceive, as this may alter a treatment plan prescribed by our practitioners.
We ask you to please arrive to telehealth (online) consultation 5 minutes early. This will ensure your consultation will run for the full allocated time, as additional time will not be offered to later arrivals, and 100% of the service fee will be charged.
If you have booked a Telehealth (online consultation), it is your responsibility to ensure you are accessing the meeting link from a device such as a laptop, mobile, tablet etc that has a camera facing you. You will need to be in a quiet place with little background noise and good lighting so your appointment can run smoothly.
Important: For your safety and to ensure you receive the full benefit of your consultation, you must not participate in a consultation while driving, operating machinery, or engaging in any activity that distracts your concentration. If it becomes apparent that you are driving or otherwise distracted, our practitioners reserve the right to immediately end the consultation. In such cases, the full consultation fee will still apply.
NOTE: If you are accessing the Zoom meeting link from a mobile device (mobile phone, tablet etc.) you will need to download the Zoom app prior to our session.
If you are accessing the appointment from a laptop or a PC, you will simply need to click the Zoom Meeting Link that will be sent to you via email.
Important Information
Please note that we cannot guarantee treatment outcomes, everyone is an individual and responds to treatment differently. Results will vary from person to person and any treatment outcomes that are shared are all individual.
Before purchasing any naturopathic services please understand that a health plan or prescription may not presented at an initial naturopathic consultation (excluding acute naturopathic consultations). If pathology has been ordered on the initial consultation, you will need to book a return consultation, after the initial consultation so the treatment plan and prescription can be presented once pathology has been returned.
We do not accept any form of aggressive or inappropriate behaviour, comments, or gestures. At my discretion, the consultation will be ended immediately if any aggressive or inappropriate behaviour is encountered, and you will incur 100% of the fee.
In the case of a Telehealth (online) appointment, if herbs, nutrients or supplements are prescribed, they will be sent by express post through Australia Post or a courier at the cost of the client.
When purchasing a product from the online store you agree that you are over the age of majority for your Australian state or Australian province of residence. When purchasing a product you agree that you will consult with a health professional before commencing the product. You also agree that when purchasing a product when you are pregnant, that you have consulted with an appropriate and experienced qualified health care professional, including a General Practitioner. When purchasing a product you declare that I am not held responsible to any risks or health outcomes associated with that product.
All services are telehealth (online) consultations and are conducted over zoom. If you do not have zoom please see information above regarding your responsibility.
Regarding the therapeutic relationship between naturopath and client, there is an expectation that the client will follow and implement recommendations within their individualised health plan to obtain the best treatment outcomes. If there are significant reasons as to why the individualised health plan is not suitable, these concerns should be brought to my attention at the return consultation when the treatment plan is presented to you.
Some herbs and supplements do not have a pleasant taste or texture. Please be aware of this before purchasing any products when your individualised health plan is presented to you. If you have significant aversions to strong tastes, flavours, or consistencies, please contact me before purchasing the product or bring this to my attention during any of your naturopathic consultations, or via email.
The look and consistency of some herbs may change throughout different seasons, this does not affect their effectiveness or therapeutic actions.

When posting temperature-sensitive products, such as probiotics, an ice pack will be included. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction
If either of us have any concerns arising out of these terms, your use of my website or my provision of products or services, we agree that we shall communicate with the intention of making a genuine effort to seek a win/win solution and resolve any dispute by negotiation and discussion.

However, evidence that is independently admissible or discoverable shall not be rendered inadmissible or non-discoverable by virtue of its use during the dispute resolution process.
If we are unable to resolve a dispute by negotiation and discussion within 14 days, we agree to proceed to mediation with the assistance of an independent Australian accredited mediator, seeking online dispute resolution or mediation by telephone if we are not both in South Australia.
The mediator is to be appointed by agreement between us or, failing agreement within 21 days of the negotiation period ending, the person initiating the dispute will seek the appointment of a dispute resolution professional by the President of the Law Society of South Australia or similar neutral Australian authority.
We agree to share all the costs of mediation equally between us.
We agree that neither of us will commence legal action until, in the opinion of the independent mediator, the potential for negotiation and mediation have been exhausted.
Everyone involved in the dispute agrees that they will not publicly or privately disparage any other party or anyone associated with them, and will act in good faith to refrain from any conduct or communication which might reasonably be expected to interfere with any other party’s business or personal interests.
This agreement is subject to the governing law of South Australia. Regardless of where you live in the world, you irrevocably agree that if the dispute resolution processes fail, the courts of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia will have exclusive jurisdiction.
